Gihan Taha heads the Registration Department at Medical Union Pharmaceuticals (MUP), a private company in Egypt. Since becoming head of the registration department in 1999, Dr Taha has established contacts and networking with all governmental bodies responsible for registering pharmaceutical products in Egypt, including the Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs (CAPA), the Drug Policy and Planning Center (DPPC) and the National Organization for Drug Control and Research (NODCAR). Prior to joining MUP in 1997, she was a lecturer in the faculty of pharmacy at Cairo University, where she earned her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
